Who are we?
We are a team of veterinary professionals that are dedicated to the health of your animals and the success of your business. Our business has been proudly serving the dairy industry of Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan since 1999.
Mission Statement
We are committed to providing quality veterinary service while being a trusted partner to our clients. We aim to bring value through both experience and knowledge to help our clients reach their goals.
History
Seeing a need for a dairy specific veterinary practice, DVMS was created in 1999 by Drs. Doug Yoder and Dereck Klopfenstein with only a handful of clients. Over the years, the business has grown to serve hundreds of clients across nearly 20 counties in Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan.
Reproduction is a main driver of profitability for our producers so we strive to be on the forefront for pregnancy diagnosis techniques, synchronization protocols, heat detection aids, etc.
From vaccination protocols to nutrition to management, we take a broad approach to keeping your animals healthy and productive.
We offer routine field surgery including displaced abomasum correction, Caesarean sections, castration, exploratory celiotomy, hernia correction, among others.
Founded on quality and timely service, we will make your phone call a priority when it comes to having your animals seen.
There are many ways to be successful in the dairy industry and we strive to be a source of information to help in any way we can.
Cattle have a way of needing attention outside of business hours - whether that be a dystocia or another emergency, we always have someone on call when you need us.
